Instead of soldering the heating tubes directly into a main circuit board, we decoupled them. We switched to simple, plug-and-play connectors. Think of it like swapping a battery in a remote rather than replacing the whole TV. You don’t have to rip the mount out of your ceiling or mess around with the main wiring. You just slide the module out, pop in a new tube, and slide it back in. Done. The reality of the “burn out” If you’ve worked with infrared, you know the deal. Those tubes have a lifespan. The constant heating up and cooling down eventually wears the filament thin. In a standard heater, fixing that is a nightmare—a full teardown that takes way too long. With our setup, it’s a five-minute job. Plus, you aren’t risking any frayed wires or messing up the moisture seal in your bathroom while you’re poking around in there. The trade-off (because nothing is perfect) Now, adding more connectors means adding more places where things could go wrong if you’re sloppy. If a connection is loose, you’ve got a problem. To fix that, we used high-temp, vibration-resistant clips. They keep the electrical contact tight even when the metal expands and contracts from the heat. The only catch? You have to make sure those clips actually click into place during installation. If they aren’t seated fully, you might get some sparking, which is obviously not what you want in a bathroom.
